Toyosu Fish Market

Toyosu Fish Market is the biggest seafood market in the world. Its predecessor Tsukiji Market previously held the title but had to be relocated to Toyosu to improve the fish market’s infrastructure. When the original fish market opened many years ago there were no such things like large delivery trucks, so the roads and facilities in Tsukiji were not equipped to handle the needs of modern day.

The main attraction of Toyosu Fish Market is the fish auction but there are other attractions like how the fish marketing is organized, the authentic sushi restaurants, etc. One of the most popular things foreign visitors do when they visit Tokyo is to witness the tuna auction. A 278Kg bluefin tuna once sold for a staggering record of US$3.1 million dollars. Although the fish restaurants in the market are purposely to feed employees in the market, these restaurants have become popular among tourists. Here you can experience and taste some of the best quality fish in the world.

Our Bay Route Tour takes you on a thrilling drive to discover the Toyosu Fish Market and to experience this part of Tokyo. Feel the thrill as you navigate the streets of Toyosu with our tour guide and take in the sights of this must-visit destination. You can return later and experience the fish auction and taste some of the best cuisines in the world. Toyosu Fish Market is a go to destination for food enthusiasts and culture seekers alike.
